Global Climate Certificate - carbon footprint

Since 2023, we have been calculating our carbon footprint annually. This helps us in our ongoing, sustainable corporate development.

The creation of the Corporate Carbon Footprint – according to the guidelines of the GHG Protocol as an internationally recognized standard – takes into account both direct CO₂ emissions (from combustion and processes within the company) and indirect CO₂ emissions (combustion, heat, energy and processes by energy suppliers for the company).

All other CO₂ emissions that are not under the control of KSL (products and services that are used or processed, e.g. transport) are taken into account, even if the identification of these emissions is voluntary and in some cases can only be determined by appropriate estimation.

The calculation of the emissions mentioned is based on the company’s financial data and is carried out for the completed financial year.
